Hard working Alexi Micinski, or “Lexi” as her friends and family call her, has been steadily working her way up the slopestyle ranks. In the 2011-2012 season she placed second at USASA Nationals and took 10th at USSA Junior Nationals. Now that she’s on the rookie team, be sure to keep on the lookout for some moves from this young slopestyle athlete from Idaho.

The winter of 2013 was a bit of a breakout season for Micinski. She won the USSA Revolution Tour in Seven Springs and took third at the Aspen/Snowmass Freeskiing Open, but she didn’t stop there. She earned an invited to FIS World Champs and then won FIS World Cup Finals in Sierra Nevada, Spain, adding a grand finale to her season. Not too bad for her first real season on the competition circuit.

      ALEXI SAYS
This season went really well for me and I was happy to podium in a lot of the events I traveled to. Skiing with the Rookie Slope Team has been really fun and there was a lot of progression throughout the season. It's been fun traveling the world chasing my skiing dreams. I hope to learn some new tricks this summer and compete in high-level events next season.

      FIRST TRACKS
At six years old, Micinski’s parents put her in ski school at Bogus Basin. She fell in love with it then and hasn’t looked back.

      OFF THE SNOW
In the summertime you’ll find Micinski whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, skating and jumping on the trampoline.
