Olympic hopeful Arielle Gold: Backstage with Rascal Flatts

IRVINE, CA (Sep. 16) - FIS World Champion and 17 year old Olympic hopeful Arielle Gold (Steamboat Springs, CO) had the opportunity to meet her favorite band, Rascal Flatts, while on a layover in Irvine, CA, on Saturday. Gold, who was on her way home from a month of training in New Zealand, coincidentally landed in L.A. on the same day that the country act came into town for their Live and Loud Tour concert. To express her enthusiasm and appreciation for the band, she gave them her snowboard.
Arielle Gold, an Olympic hopeful who notched her first career World Championships halfpipe snowboarding win in 2013, finished up a month of on-snow training in New Zealand on September 15th.
Rascal Flatts, one of the most popular country bands in the world is currently on an international tour.
On a layover in Irvine, CA Gold was able to go backstage and enjoy their concert.
While backstage at a meet-and-greet event Gold gifted the band her Burton autographed snowboard.
