The Jay Peak Ski Club (JPSC) is looking for a Head Coach & Program Director for the 2014-2015 season and beyond.  This person will direct and manage JPSC’s training activities for our roughly fifty Wishful (U7) through U16 athletes.  The responsibilities include mentoring & training new coaches, being JPSC’s main liaison with USSA, setting the training plan & agenda for the season, assisting in hiring of new coaches and being the lead coach for one of our age groups. 

Requirements for this position include:
1.    USSA level 200 certification at a minimum.
2.    Prior experience managing a race team.
3.    A mindset of wanting to train all athletes to be great racers and strong overall skiers.
4.    An energetic individual who wants to help grow our program.
5.    College degree in a field related to athletics or the ski industry.

Our alumni and athletes have represented us at States, Can-Am, Junior Olympics and Sochi Olympics.  We have a brand new club house as of this season.  We’re in a growth mode as over the past several seasons, Jay Peak resort has been pouring millions of dollars into new infrastructure, lodging, etc.  For the 2013-2014 season alone, $44 million dollars was invested.  Interested parties please email resume and salary requirements to

Okemo Mountain School and the Okemo Mountain Competition Center are seeking both full time and weekend alpine ski racing coaches for all age groups for the 2014-15 winter season. Applicants should be enthusiastic team players looking to work with one of the country's largest youth ski racing programs. Prior coaching and/or racing experience is a must, as well as the flexibility to travel to state, regional, and national level competitions.
Additionally, there are full time/year round opportunities at Okemo Mountain School as the school continues to grow and expand. Currently, Okemo Mountain School is seeking an Alpine Program Director to oversee, manage, and direct the academy's programs for U12-U18 athletes. In addition to the above criteria, applicants for this position must possess strong leadership skills coupled with the ability to work as part of a team, have experience coaching and managing, and have excellent oral and written communication skills.  A bachelor’s degree is required.

Alpine Ski Program Director

Northwood School in Lake Placid, NY seeks applicants for the position of Alpine Ski Program Director.  Situated in the middle of the Olympic Village and only minutes from Whiteface Mountain, the school has a 100 year history of excellence in alpine skiing and boasts Olympic medalists among its graduates.
The Director’s position is full-time, year-round and applicants should demonstrate strong organizational, management, communications and coaching skills along with a track record of successful involvement in the NCAA, NorAm or US Ski Team level.  An understanding of the FIS circuit as well as USSA level 200 or higher certification is desireable.
Northwood School is an independent, coeducational, non-sectarian, boarding and day school of 175 with students from 22 states and 12 countries.

The New York Ski Educational Foundation (NYSEF) is seeking enthusiastic and professional
alpine ski coaches at Whiteface Mountain/Lake Placid for the 2014-2015 season and beyond as
NYSEF expands its programs. Available coaching positions include both full-time and part-time
positions at various age groups and ability levels. Benefits may include health insurance and
retirement plan as per company policy.
Candidates should have racing and/or coaching experience with tasks including but not limited
to ski equipment maintenance/preparation, video analysis, timing, strength and conditioning.

The Hermitage Club Race Team hiring coaches for the 2014/15 season
Hermitage Club Race Team is seeking qualified coaches for the 2014-15+ season. Applicants should be USSA or PSIA/AASI certified (or willing to pursue certification) and be able to provide previous coaching, teaching, and/or racing references.  We are looking for the following:

U10-12 (ages 11 & under), U14 (ages 12-13), Freestyle and Snowboarding - Head Coach(s) and Assistant Coach(s)
Minimal travel, introduction to competition programs. Applicants must have current knowledge of ski racing, USSA Level 100+, Freestyle. Snowboarding programs or PSIA/AASI certification preferred, strong fundamental skiing/riding base, a positive attitude and be a team player. Program will be structured around the USSA’s programs.   

U16-21 (ages 14-15 & 16+) - Head Coach
Applicants must have current knowledge of ski racing, USSA Level 200+ or PSIA certification preferred, former competitor w/strong fundamental skill base, have a positive attitude and be a team player. Program will be structured around the USSA’s programs. Current USSA and VARA membership required. Must be familiar with current SL, GS, SG and DH technique and tactics. Significant travel required.

Looking for an applicant who would like to begin a long term seasonal position, December – April with competitive wages and a fun, friendly, team oriented environment. Sugar Bowl Resort is seeking a Competition Events Manager for its highly regarded racing program. This individual will oversee daily operation of the Race Department and Race Crew. The manager has the end-to-end responsibility for all on-hill competitions and race events, including but not limited to bidding for FIS and Far West Races, ensuring the flawless execution of all race events including; pre-race registration and organization, execution day of, and post-race related tasks. The manager will hire, train, motivate and discipline staff. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of Competition Events Management and a solid ski race background.
