A rising talent since she was seven, Ty Walker has been on a steady climb up the ranks since her debut on the slopestyle scene. In the last three years, the 17-year-old has moved from 16th to eighth on the World Snowboard Tour ranking and continues to progress the sport with explosive riding and one of the best backside 720s in the business.
Walker came into the 2014 season strong, landing just shy of the podium in fourth place at the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix in Copper. A badly bruised heal from a crash during practice kept Walker from riding to her potential on the Olympic stage, but this pintsized young gun will definitely put that Olympic experience in the bank as she gears up for Peyongchang.
Walker, more focused than ever came into the 2015 season stronger then ever and determined to make her mark, which see did winning the first-ever FIS World Cup women's big air event in Istanbul. With big air looking to be an addition to the Olympic roster, Walker has more chances than ever to walk home with gold in 2018.
