Montana native and 15-year-old Maggie Voisin burst onto the women’s pro slopestyle scene during the 2013-2014 season with a Dew Tour podium, X Games silver medal and a spot on the inaugural U.S. Olympic slopestyle team.
Known for her smooth style and unique grabs, Voisin celebrated her 15th birthday on the podium at the Breckenridge Dew Tour, the first of five Olympic qualification events. Her consistent performance at the remainder of the Grand Prix events earned her a coaches’ discretionary nomination to the Olympic team. But before heading to Sochi, Voisin dropped into Aspen, CO and bagged a silver medal in women’s slopestyle at her first X Games appearance. A week later Voisin went to Russia as the youngest U.S. Olympian since 1972, but unfortunately, she suffered a broken ankle during a practice session and was unable to compete. Voisin was proud to have represented her country at the Olympics and closed out the 2014 season in third place on the AFP slopestyle world ranking list.
Voisin debuted on the freeskiing scene during the 2012-2013 season with wins at the U.S. Revolution Tour and a win at the WSI/AFP World Championship event in Whistler against the sport’s top pros. With Voisin’s varied bag of tricks and some stellar results--including fifth in two top-tier big air events in 2016--she is likely to be showing the competition a thing or two in the years to come.
