Green Mountain Valley School athlete Brian McLaughlin did a couple of big things in 2011 – he qualified for his first U.S. Championships then landed a spot on the U.S. Development Team. During his trip to Aspen for the U.S. downhill, he packed in a heavy schedule five NorAm races in five days and brought home his first NorAm top 20 in a super G. The face-time with U.S. coaches prompted an invitation to the Development Team tryout camp where McLaughlin snagged a spot on the squad.
