![]() A move from the Midwest to the nordic combined Mecca known as Steamboat Springs, CO was the boost Adam Loomis needed to take his career to the next level. After just a season in Colorado, Loomis had collected solid results at all levels of competition and earned an invite to the U.S. Nordic Combined Team. The 2012 season, Loomis’ first with the U.S. Team, was a good one for the Wisconsin native. He finished 12th at Junior World Championships and had the third fastest cross country time in the event. He also competed on the Continental Cup circuit and scored points in eight events. Loomis experienced a tough year of competition in 2013 but is focused on putting together a complete 2014, hopefully capping it with his first Olympic Team invite. ADAM SAYS So I've put that behind me and am really excited to be back at training and refocused for next year. Obviously, this is an Olympic year and my biggest goal is to make the team. I know that with some good early season results I definitely have a good shot at it. More specifically, I hope to start strong on Continental Cup and get on the podium there and then earn enough World Cup points to earn a spot for myself and the team on the World Cup.
