ATS Matrix

The Alpine Training System matrix is a framework for the sport participation, conditioning emphasis, technical and tactical emphasis, equipment selection and preparation recommendations, performance psychology emphasis and competition emphasis for ski racers in each of the development phases. It provides in a one-page view a quick resource to be shared with parents, athletes and coaches to help understand the progressive nature of development and its relationship with the skier's experience (training age) and biological development (biological age). Download the ATS matrix and learn more about what's behind the boxes by clicking on the tabs above.
